How far in advance should I book my bus charter in Bendigo?
We recommend booking your bus charter as early as possible, especially during peak seasons or for large groups. However, we'll always do our best to accommodate last-minute requests subject to availability. 

 

Can I hire just a bus without a driver?
No, we do not offer the option to hire a bus without a driver. At Escape Coach Tours, our professional drivers are an essential part of our service, and all our bus charters include a qualified, experienced driver. This policy ensures the safety and comfort of our passengers, as well as compliance with relevant transportation regulations and insurance requirements. Our drivers are there to provide a stress-free travel experience for your group, handling all aspects of the journey from start to finish.

What is the minimum number of passengers required for a bus charter?

While we don't have strict minimum numbers of passengers, groups usually start from 25, if your group is smaller please talk to us to see if we can accommodate your needs.

Are your coaches wheelchair accessible?
No, we don’t have wheelchair lifts available in our coaches.
 

Do you provide child seats or booster seats for young passengers?

There are anchor spots for child seats on the coach, please let us know if you are bringing child seats so we can arrange for those seats to be reserved.

Can we bring food and drinks on the coach?
Yes, you are welcome to bring cold snacks and non-alcoholic beverages with screw top lids on board. No hot food is allowed.We kindly ask that you dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided and avoid bringing messy or strong-smelling foods to ensure a pleasant journey for all passengers.
 

Are there restroom facilities on board your coaches?
Our coaches are equipped with onboard restrooms for your convenience, but please note that it’s law that you remain in your seat while the vehicle is moving. However, we also make regular comfort stops.
 

Can we decorate the coach for a special occasion?
Absolutely! We understand that many of our charters are for special events like birthdays or weddings. You're welcome to decorate the coach, but please avoid using anything that may cause damage or leave residue. Our team can provide guidance on suitable decoration options.
 

Is there a luggage limit for each passenger?
Each passenger can bring up to 20kg of luggage
 

What cleaning and safety measures are in place for your coaches?
We clean the coach after each trip.
 

Can we smoke on board the coach?
No, as per law smoking is strictly prohibited on all our coaches. This includes e-cigarettes and vaping devices. We strive to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all passengers and appreciate your cooperation.
 

Are pets allowed on your coaches?
We generally do not allow pets on our coaches, with the exception of  certified service animals. If you require a service animal to accompany you, please let us know when making your booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.
 

How do I cancel or reschedule my bus charter?
To cancel or reschedule your bus charter, please contact our office as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy is outlined in our terms and conditions, which are provided at the time of booking. Depending on the notice period, cancellation fees may apply.
 

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept various payment methods, including credit cards (Visa and  Mastercard), direct bank transfers, cheques and cash. Payment terms and conditions will be provided when you make your booking.
 

Are your drivers qualified to assist passengers with mobility issues?
Passengers need to be independent as they cannot rely on the driver. They need to be able to walk and climb steps.
 

Can we request additional stops during our charter trip?
Certainly! We can accommodate additional stops during your charter, subject to time constraints and route feasibility. Please provide us with your desired itinerary when making your booking, and we'll do our best to incorporate your requested stops.
 

What entertainment options are available on board your coaches?
Our coaches are equipped with entertainment systems that include CD and DVD players, allowing you to bring your own music and movies to enjoy during your journey. Additionally, our coaches feature Bluetooth connectivity, enabling you to wirelessly stream audio from your personal devices to the onboard sound system. This way, you can create your own personalised entertainment experience while travelling with us.
 

How do you ensure the safety of passengers during the trip?
All coaches are seat belt equipped and are serviced and maintained under strict standards.
 

Can we bring bicycles or other large sports equipment on board?

Absolutely! We offer coach hire services for multi-day tours, whether it's a weekend getaway or a longer excursion. Our team will work with you to plan your itinerary, accommodate your preferred stops and overnight locations, and provide a comfortable travel experience throughout your journey.
 

How do you handle lost property on your coaches?
If you believe you've left an item on one of our coaches, please contact our office as soon as possible with a description of the item and the date and route of your trip. We'll do our best to locate the item and arrange for its return. Unclaimed items will be held for a limited period before being donated to charity.
 

Can we request a specific route for our charter trip?
We'll work closely with you to plan the most suitable route for your charter based on your preferences, time constraints, and any specific stops you'd like to include. Our experienced drivers have extensive knowledge of the  Victoria and will provide recommendations to ensure an efficient and enjoyable journey.
 

What happens if there's a mechanical issue with the coach during our trip?
In the rare event of a mechanical issue, our driver will assess the situation and take appropriate action to ensure your safety and minimise disruption to your journey. We have a network of support staff and backup vehicles to assist with any necessary repairs or replacements, so you can rest assured that we'll get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
